NextGen Quizzing is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office under registration reference ZC207263. Information we collect
Depending on how you use the website, we may collect your name, email address, telephone number, company, event and venue details, messages, buzzer requests, testimonial content, technical security information and any other details you choose to provide.
Why we use it
- To answer enquiries and provide quotations.
- To arrange and manage quiz bookings and events.
- To process private booking details and buzzer requests.
- To send a copy of a form when you actively request one.
- To publish testimonials where you have given permission.
- To operate, protect and improve the website and prevent misuse.
- To comply with legal, accounting and regulatory obligations.
Our lawful bases
We normally process booking and enquiry information because it is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, to perform a contract, or for our legitimate interests in operating NextGen Quizzing and responding to customers. We rely on consent where you give permission for a testimonial to be published or choose optional cookies. We process records where necessary to meet legal obligations.
Who receives your information
We use trusted service providers to host the website and deliver form emails. This currently includes OpenAI Sites and its infrastructure providers, and Resend for transactional email. Google provides the public event feed read by our server. Meta provides authorised access to NextGen Quizzing's own Instagram posts; the website server retrieves this public post content and serves the images without loading an Instagram embed or tracking script in your browser. OpenFreeMap supplies map tiles using OpenStreetMap data, while OpenStreetMap also supplies venue-search data; these services may receive technical information such as your IP address when a map or search result loads. If you follow an external link, such as SpeedQuizzing, Magic Stamp, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok or LinkedIn, that organisation processes information under its own privacy notice.
We do not sell your personal information. Service providers may only use it to provide their services to us. Where information is processed outside the United Kingdom, we expect appropriate contractual or legal safeguards to be used.
How long we keep it
General enquiries that do not lead to a booking are normally kept for up to 24 months after the last contact. Booking and transaction records may be kept for up to six years where needed for accounting, tax or legal claims. Buzzer requests are normally kept for up to 12 months. Published testimonials may remain visible until permission is withdrawn. Security logs are kept only for a proportionate period.
Security
We use reasonable organisational and technical measures to protect information. No internet service is completely secure, so please avoid sending sensitive information that we have not requested.
Children
The website is intended for people arranging or attending quiz events. We do not knowingly ask children under 13 to submit personal information directly. A parent or guardian should contact us on their behalf.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to ask for access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or an objection to processing. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.
